Our Story

Our Mission: “Delivering Joy With A Dash of Incredible (local) Tastes”.

Artisan ice cream, crafted with care using local ingredients from Cape Cod farmers, food artisans, and friends.

Our commercial kitchen, 27 Below, is where we experiment and create our signature “Farm to Scoop” flavors. You can find The Local Scoop’s homemade hard-serve ice cream being scooped at The Nut House in Provincetown and sold in hand-packed pints at Friends Market in Orleans. Our beloved Cape Cod Pops are available across the Cape at specialty shops.

We are passionate about our community, our farmers and local food artisans. Homemade “Farm to Scoop” ice cream and frozen yogurt, using locally sourced ingredients. The Local Scoop is home to the Cape Cod Pop - hand crafted artisan ice cream bars and popsicles. We take our homemade ice cream, dip in chocolate and sprinkle with local Cape Cod ingredients.

For example:

Salted Caramel: Homemade Salted Caramel Ice Cream, dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with 1830 Cape Cod Sea Salt and topped with MCrea’s Caramel, a pretzel and more (organic) chocolate that is infused with caramel.

Rum Raisin: Homemade rum raisin ice cream made with South Hollow Spirit Spiced Rum, dipped in white chocolate and swirled with 3 Fin Bean to Bar chocolate.

Java: Homemade coffee ice cream using locally roasted Snowy Owl “Jaws” coffee then dipped in our specially blended Mocha Chocolate and swirled with a bit of white chocolate.

All of our ice cream is homemade, on-site, in small batches. We get our dairy from Rhode Island and CT, and use local Cape Cod ingredients to create our flavors.

We proudly source our ingredients from local farmers & food artisans, many from  the farmers markets where we participate:
